With the development of LED technology, the pixel pitch can be much smaller, even reaching 1mm. Due to the technical breakthrough, LED display finds another wider application market—indoor high density display.

Nowadays, more and more LED display are popular in the indoor application, threatening the LCD market position. Compared to LCD, LED has following advantages:

◆ Longer life span

LED devices need smaller voltage to work normally, so smaller current does little harm to the electrical devices. Generally, LED life span reaches 50,000~10,000 hours, while LCD is 30,000~60,000 hours.

◆ Energy-saving and environmental friendly
The LED luminance efficiency is over 95%, saving 30% energy consumption compared to traditional LCD at the same luminance; moreover LCD material contains mercury, which is harmful to human heath, while LED material is free of mercury, lead and other hazardous substance, no harm to heath at all.

◆ Excellent Color Performance
The light emitting from LED lamps has higher color saturation and its color gamut range is 105% that of NTCL, much better than LCD color performance.
◆ Free Seamless Splicing

Splicing seam is the big trouble hindering LCD’s development. Though LCD technology is progressing, this problem still cannot be solved well. While LED display can be seamlessly connected and formed any size screen according to customer's need.

This project was just finished last month by Yaham for one space control center. The visual effect is extraordinarily perfect.

Smart module is Yaham’s patented technology and makes great breakthrough in the industry. It can store the dot-dot calibration data into itself, so the display can still easily achieve uniform color and brightness without repeated correction of the whole display when replacing some modules.

Brightness and grayscale is an important index for indoor application of LED display. The viewing distance is much nearer that that of outdoor environment, usually about 1~4m, and also the continuous staring time is much longer, so Yaham fully consider these factors and design an appropriate brightness range of 300~700nits to ensure less harm to human eyes because of long-time staring.
